We had a huge singalong on the bus ride there. Then, at the lodge we got in our groups and stretched. We started to hike up Firescrew Mountain, stopping to sing songs and play games along the way. One game we played was hide/find the pencil. We stopped at a rocky clearing for lunch with a nice view. Then, we climbed a little higher to the second clearing and sketched the view. At the top it was really windy and kind of chilly. Veronica, Sawyer, Ryan D. and I went a little higher than the group for a better veiw. We started hiking back down as it started to sprinkle. As we went down, we climbed trees, and then the boys started to do invisible mountain biking. We made it down and I almost fell asleep on the bus ride.

Thursday was the day we hiked up Fireskrew. At the top there were multiple regions. Regions are a special area seperated from other areas by special features. For example, there was a section of the top that had a clearing of trees, a nice view of surrounding mountains, and lots of lichen growing on the rock. There is also a region near the summit, where all the rocks on the path were so steep that they were almost vertical. These are some examples of the regions we visited.
